Concrete Crushing
There are many advantages to recycling concrete by crushing it into aggregate. Recycling helps environmental sustainability, requiring far less energy to recycle concrete than mine new aggregate material. Re-using the concrete also diverts more waste from the landfills. Recycling also helps reduce costs on a construction site. If the demolition is making way for a new build, the concrete can be crushed to spec on-site, depending on the intended use, saving on costs of importing materials.
If the material is not going to be used again on-site, it can be re-used elsewhere. A few potential uses are as aggregate for other projects, fill for excavations, and the production of new concrete.
