The planning and preparation of the job is often the most time consuming. We are here to facilitate all the details required. We will do a full inspection before the job gets underway. We can help every step of the way.
Disconnection of Services
The disconnection of all services is required prior to any demolition. These may include gas, electrical and water.
Permit Applications
The requirements for demolition and excavation permits vary by city and municipality. We will work with you and the city to apply for and obtain the required permits.
Designated Substance Survey
A Designated Substance Survey Report is required prior to any demolition of a building built prior to 1990 in Ontario. This report will identify hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead and, mercury. The report will also provide the proper protocols to safely abate and dispose of prior to the demolition commencing.
Utility Locates
Locates are required for all demolition and excavation projects to identify buried utilities on the property. We will obtain public locates for your project via ON1Call, and private locates if necessary.
Engineered Demolition Plans
An engineered demolition plan is required for any project area that is 600 m2 or bigger, or 4 stories high or taller. We collaborate with engineers to have these plans prepared and completed for permit applications. We also facilitate any engineering requirements throughout the entirety of the project, up until final sign-off.
